TikTok Shop Malaysia Fee Calculator

TikTok Shop MY revises Marketplace and Mall commission from 00:00 on 31 October 2026, Malaysia time. This calculator carries both tables — the rates in force today and the rates that replace them — with BXP and non-BXP tracks, so you can price an order for the date it will actually be placed.

Fee layers

The rate table applied is shown above once you calculate. TikTok publishes every rate in this table with SST already included, so there is no separate 8% line to add — unlike Shopee, where 8% SST is charged on top of the published commission.

TikTok Shop fees only. Product cost, first-mile and last-mile logistics, affiliate commissions and the 10% low-value-goods sales tax collected on imported items under RM500 are not part of this figure — the full profit calculator carries those, and the Shopee commission calculator does the same arithmetic for the other platform.

The 31 October 2026 boundary, in one rule

TikTok's announcement states it plainly: the new Marketplace and Mall commission rates take effect from 00:00 on 31 October 2026, Malaysia time (UTC+8), and orders placed before that moment follow the current rates. The order date decides the rate — not the delivery date, not the settlement date.

So the number to plan against depends on when the order lands:

Listings that are live across the boundary will see both rates on the same SKU. If you are pricing a promotion that runs past 30 October, run it twice — once with each rate set — because the fee on a mall order can move by three percentage points.

Ranges are taken from TikTok's own before/after table (240 rows, 231 distinct categories after collapsing nine category pairs that appear under two industry headings with identical rates). The commission base does not change either: Commission Fee = (Item price − Seller discount) × Fee rate, with shipping and platform-funded discounts excluded — TikTok's formula, unchanged by this revision.

Which categories move, and which are protected

Counting the Marketplace non-BXP column of TikTok's table: 213 of the 239 categories that carry a current rate go up, 20 stay exactly where they are, and 6 are cut. No category moves in mixed directions — where one published number changes, the whole row changes the same way.

Two things worth knowing beyond the headline. The twenty rows TikTok holds flat are a mixed bag: all nine Pre-Owned sub-categories, four Phones & Electronics rows (Cameras & Photography, Education Devices, Phones & Tablets, Tablet & Computer Accessories), Luggage & Travel Bags, all five Food & Beverages rows and Virtual Products › Voucher. And one row has no current rate at all: Food & Beverages › Beer, Wine & Spirits is listed only in the new column, at 12.21% Marketplace non-BXP (15.45% Mall non-BXP) from 31 October 2026 — if you sell alcohol, this is a new line on your P&L rather than an increase.

What the calculator assumes

Worked example: RM100 women's dress, Marketplace

Womenswear & Underwear › Women's Dresses, no seller discount, buyer pays no shipping, no waiver. Commission is charged on RM100; the transaction fee follows TikTok's worked-example basis (3.78% of the discounted subtotal); the platform support fee is RM0.54.

Two lessons sit in that table. First, on this category the change is small for a standard seller — 33 sen on a RM100 order — while for a BXP seller it is RM2.48, because the BXP rate on this row moves much further than the non-BXP rate. Second, and more important: at the 4.86% BXP fee rate shown in TikTok's own example, BXP costs this seller more than the standard rate does, both before and after the change. The BXP commission advantage on Women's Dresses is 4.32 points today and 2.17 points from 31 October, both below 4.86%. BXP is not a discount you should assume; it is a bundle you have to run the numbers on — and it does come with buyer-facing vouchers and cashback, which this calculator cannot price for you.

Put your own category and price in above: the calculator shows the same breakdown for all 231 categories in both tables, in Marketplace or Mall, BXP or non-BXP.

Frequently asked questions

Who can use this TikTok Shop fee calculator?

It is built for TikTok Shop Malaysia sellers pricing an order: enter the item price, your own seller discount, the shipping fee the buyer pays, the category, the store tier and whether you are a BXP seller. It applies the commission rate, the 3.78% transaction fee and the RM0.54 platform support fee, then shows what is deducted and what you keep before product cost and logistics.

When do the new TikTok Shop Malaysia commission rates take effect?

From 00:00 on 31 October 2026, Malaysia time (UTC+8). TikTok's announcement is explicit about the boundary: orders placed before that moment follow the current rates, orders placed from that moment follow the new rates. The calculator reads the date from your device in Malaysia time and switches the default rate set for you; you can also switch it manually to compare.

Does every category go up on 31 October 2026?

No. Taking TikTok's own before-and-after table and counting the Marketplace non-BXP column, 213 of the 239 categories that have a current rate go up, 20 are unchanged and 6 are cut. The six reductions are Baby & Maternity > Nursing & Feeding (9.72% to 6.80%), Health > Medical Supplies (15.12% to 12.20%), Beauty & Personal Care > Feminine Care (14.58% to 12.10%), Health > OTC Medications & Treatments (14.04% to 11.56%), Beauty & Personal Care > Nasal & Oral Care (14.04% to 12.20%) and Bookings & Vouchers > Physical Voucher (13.50% to 11.88%). Baking, Fresh & Frozen Food, Milk & Dairy and Staples & Cooking Essentials stay at 0%.

Is SST already included in TikTok Shop Malaysia's commission rates?

Yes. TikTok publishes its commission table as SST-inclusive, so the number in the table is the rate you actually pay and there is no extra 8% to add. This is the opposite of Shopee Malaysia, which adds 8% SST on top of the published commission — a 14% Shopee category is really 15.12%. Never compare a Shopee percentage with a TikTok Shop percentage without adjusting for that.

What is BXP and does it always cost less?

BXP (Bonus Extra Programme) sellers pay a lower Marketplace and Mall commission rate than non-BXP sellers on every category in the table — for example Women's Dresses is 10.26% for BXP and 14.58% for non-BXP on the current table, and 12.74% against 14.91% from 31 October 2026. But TikTok's own worked example for a BXP seller also adds a separate BXP fee line of 4.86% (SST-inclusive) on the subtotal, along with the 3.78% transaction fee and the platform support fee. Run both modes in the calculator before assuming BXP is cheaper for your price point.

What other fees does TikTok Shop Malaysia charge on an order?

Two more layers. A transaction fee of 3.78% (3.5% plus 8% SST), which TikTok's worked examples calculate on the subtotal after seller discount, with shipping shown as a separate line. And a platform support fee of RM0.54 (RM0.50 plus 8% SST) per successfully delivered order, regardless of item quantity or order value, in force since 15 February 2026 and not refunded when a delivered order is later returned. New sellers onboarded from 1 April 2026 can complete a mission for a 30-day waiver; some small sellers can claim a monthly 30-day waiver.

Did TikTok Shop Malaysia change commission in June 2026?

We could not confirm any such change. Third-party seller tools have reported a commission adjustment around June 2026, but the current-rate column of TikTok's own fee page shows no June step, and the only change TikTok has announced on that page is the one effective 31 October 2026. Treat the June claim as unverified and confirm your own rate in Seller Centre before repricing.

Every rate on this page was taken from the official before/after table and exported programmatically into the calculator's data file — no rate is typed into the page by hand. The table was re-fetched and re-parsed on 17 October 2026 and matched the stored fee research cell for cell (240/240 rows), and its "before" column matched our existing category table on every comparable category part. The comparison against our older table is why we also flag the one number that changed in our own data: Milk & Dairy Mall non-BXP is 0.00% in TikTok's current column. Your Seller Centre invoice is always the authority for your shop.
