Shopee Malaysia Commission Calculator
Work out what Shopee actually deducts from a completed order in Malaysia — the category commission plus 8% SST on top, the 3.78% payment fee, and the RM0.54 platform support fee — using the commission table effective 14 August 2026.
Shopee fees only. Your product cost, first-mile and last-mile logistics, and the 10% low-value-goods sales tax that the platform collects from the buyer on imported items under RM500 are not part of this figure — the full profit calculator handles those.
The four things Shopee Malaysia deducts
| Fee | Rate in force | Charged on | Since |
|---|---|---|---|
| Category commission | 0% – 17% (non-SCP) lower for SCP sellers | Product price after your own discounts and seller vouchers | 14 Aug 2026 |
| SST on commission | +8% | The commission amount (not the selling price) | — |
| Payment fee | 3.78% (3.5% + 8% SST) | The final amount the buyer pays, including the shipping fee they pay, before Shopee-sponsored discounts | 1 Aug 2024 |
| Platform support fee | RM0.54 (RM0.50 + 8% SST) | Each completed order — per order, not per item | 16 Jul 2025 |
Two optional layers sit on top and are off by default in the calculator: the Shopee Cashback Programme fee (5.5% normally, 7.5% during campaigns, plus SST, capped at RM108 per item — you pay this if you joined SCP) and the pre-order service fee (2% plus SST on pre-order listings). Separately, from the 4th manual withdrawal in a week Shopee charges RM0.12 per withdrawal; the first three are free and the minimum withdrawal is RM1.
What the calculator assumes
- Commission base excludes shipping. Shopee charges commission on the product price after your discounts and seller vouchers, so a bigger shipping fee does not increase commission — it does increase the payment fee.
- SST is added on top. A "14%" category is really 15.12% of the commission base once the 8% SST is applied. The breakdown shows the two lines separately so you can reconcile them against a Seller Centre invoice.
- Marketplace vs Mall, SCP vs non-SCP. Every category has four rates in the official table. Mall rates are usually similar or slightly higher; SCP rates are lower but come with the Cashback Programme fee.
- The support fee is per completed order. Selling three RM5 items in one order costs one RM0.54, not three — this is why the calculator asks for a whole order, not a unit.
- New sellers. Sellers whose first listing is within 120 days, or who have not yet completed 200 orders (whichever comes first), are exempt from commission; the calculator does not apply that waiver automatically.
- Rates change. Shopee revises the commission table several times a year — 2026 alone brought changes in May, August and October. Treat every figure here as planning data and verify it against your own Seller Centre → My Income → Commission invoice.
Worked example: RM15 women's top, no discount
Marketplace, non-SCP, buyer pays no shipping fee. Commission is 14% of RM15 = RM2.10; with 8% SST that becomes RM2.27. The payment fee is 3.78% of RM15 = RM0.57. The platform support fee is RM0.54. Total deducted: RM3.38 — 22.5% of the selling price, leaving RM11.62 before logistics and product cost.
Run the same item through SCP instead: commission falls to 9% (RM1.46 with SST), but the programme fee adds RM0.89, so the total deduction becomes RM3.46 — slightly worse than standard at this price point. SCP pays off on higher-ticket items, not small ones. Put your own numbers in above to see where the crossover sits for your category.
Frequently asked questions
How much commission does Shopee Malaysia charge?
It depends on your category and whether you are in the Shopee Cashback Programme (SCP). On the commission table in force from 14 August 2026, Marketplace (non-Mall) rates run from 0% on KPDN essential goods to 17% for the highest non-SCP categories — for example Women Clothes is 14% for a non-SCP seller and 9% for an SCP seller. Commission is charged on the product price after your own discounts and seller vouchers, and 8% SST is added on top of the commission amount.
Is the 8% SST already included in the commission percentage?
No. Shopee Malaysia adds 8% SST on top of the commission it charges. A 14% commission on a RM15 item is RM2.10, and RM2.27 is what actually leaves your balance once SST is added. This is the opposite of how TikTok Shop Malaysia quotes its rates, which are SST-inclusive — never compare a Shopee percentage with a TikTok Shop percentage directly.
What is the Shopee payment fee in Malaysia?
3.78%, which is 3.5% plus 8% SST, charged on the final amount the buyer pays including the shipping fee they pay, before Shopee-sponsored discounts. It has been at this level since 1 August 2024, when it was raised from 2.16%.
What is the RM0.54 platform support fee?
Shopee charges RM0.54 (RM0.50 plus 8% SST) per completed order — per order, not per item — for orders placed from 16 July 2025 onwards. New sellers are exempt for their first 60 days, small sellers can claim a 30-day exemption each month, and KPDN essential categories and government textbooks are exempt.
Does Shopee Malaysia charge commission on shipping fees?
No. Commission is charged on the product price after your own discounts and seller vouchers, so the shipping fee the buyer pays is not part of the commission base. It is, however, part of the payment fee base: the 3.78% applies to the full amount the buyer pays including shipping.
Why does joining the Shopee Cashback Programme (SCP) not always save money?
SCP gives you a lower commission rate on most categories, but you also pay the Cashback Programme fee — 5.5% or 7.5% plus SST, capped at RM108 per item. On a RM15 women's top the commission drops from RM2.27 to RM1.46, but RM0.89 of cashback fee is added, so the total Shopee deduction goes from RM3.38 to RM3.46. Judge SCP by the two lines together, never by the commission rate alone.

Commission rates for individual categories were transcribed from the official commission table, which Shopee publishes as an image; the calculator embeds 44 of the most-sold categories out of roughly 200 rows. If your category looks off, your Seller Centre invoice is the authority — and so is the official table.
