TikTok Shop Payout Time & Schedule (Malaysia): When You Get Paid

TikTok Shop Payout Time & Schedule (Malaysia): When You Get Paid

"TikTok Shop payout time" gets asked as if it were one number. It isn't. Between a buyer paying and cash landing in your Malaysian bank account there are four separate clocks, and only one of them is the settlement period. Sellers who quote a single figure are usually quoting their own luckiest order.

Here are the four stages in order — using TikTok Shop's own published rules for Malaysia — and where to look up your shop's real numbers instead of trusting a table on the internet.

The four clocks

Stage What happens Clock starts Typical length
1. Order paid Buyer's payment authorised; you ship — Same day
2. Delivery Courier delivers. This is the reference date TikTok uses Delivery date Courier-dependent, commonly 1–5 days within Peninsular Malaysia
3. Settlement Funds released from escrow to your seller balance Delivery date Your settlement tier (below)
4. Withdrawal You move the balance to your bank Withdrawal request 1–3 business days

The most useful fact on this page: TikTok measures the settlement period from the delivery date, not from the order date. Two orders placed the same morning can settle days apart if one buyer is in Kuala Lumpur and the other in Sabah.

Stage 3 in detail: settlement is tiered, not fixed

TikTok does not apply one payout delay to every shop. Each shop is assigned a settlement tier based on performance, re-evaluated at the start of each month.

The published framework has four speeds plus one penalty tier:

Settlement type Applies to Payout window (from delivery)
Introductory Newly onboarded shops / probation 31 days
Standard Default after probation 8 days
Accelerated Shop performance qualifies 5 days
Express Best-performing shops 1 day
Deferred Security checks under way 31 days

Read that table as a framework, not as your schedule. The day counts differ by market: TikTok's Ireland page publishes 31 / 8 / 5 / 1, its Singapore page publishes 15 / 8 / 3 / 1, and its Brazil policy publishes 7 / 3 / 31. The Malaysia-specific tier table is not published on an official MY page we could verify, so we give you the framework and tell you where the real answer lives:

That is the only place your payout time exists as a fact. Everything else is an estimate. For the rates deducted at settlement, see TikTok Shop Malaysia fees.

What comes out before the money reaches your balance

Settlement is not "revenue minus commission". On TikTok Shop MY, three charges are applied as part of settlement:

Deduction Rate (Malaysia) Billing base
Commission Your category rate, SST-inclusive Item price − seller discount
Transaction fee 3.78% (SST-inclusive) Item price − seller discount
Platform Support Fee RM0.50 excl. SST / RM0.54 incl. 8% SST per successfully delivered order Flat, per delivered order

The Platform Support Fee took effect 15 February 2026 and is charged per delivered order regardless of item quantity or order value — and per TikTok's own wording it is not refunded if a delivered order is later returned or refunded. On a low-priced SKU, that flat RM0.54 can eat a larger share of margin than the commission rate you spent a week comparing.

Commission and transaction fees are deducted at settlement, so what reaches your seller balance is already net. Monthly invoices are downloadable from Finance → Invoice Center → Platform Service Fee.

A worked timeline

One order, delivered on Day 0, no returns, healthy shop on an established tier:

Accelerated shop (5 days) Standard shop (8 days)
Day 0 Delivered Delivered
Day 5 Released to seller balance —
Day 8 — Released to seller balance
Day 5 + 1–3 business days Money in your bank —
Day 8 + 1–3 business days — Money in your bank

So the honest answer to "how long until I get paid?" for a healthy Malaysian shop is roughly one to two weeks from delivery — not "T+3", and not the 31 days people quote from the introductory tier.

Why payouts get delayed

Those four stages are the normal path. These are what push them out:

  1. Deferred settlement / security checks. TikTok can extend a shop to a longer period, including mid-month, if it detects account risk or a policy issue.
  2. Platform-funded subsidies settle late. TikTok's framework notes platform-funded shipping subsidies and non-seller-fault compensation may only settle around 3 days after order completion, because the amount is verified first.
  3. A negative balance. If refunds and platform expenses in a settlement period exceed that period's revenue, the balance goes negative and later settlements pay it down before anything is withdrawable.
  4. Return-window holds. An order under return or refund review is not a completed order, so its clock does not advance.
  5. Payout account not ready. Money can settle to your balance and still be unwithdrawable if your payout account is unapproved or doesn't match your shop identity — see where your payout actually lands.

How to see where an order's money is right now

  1. Order status — delivered? completed? under return?
  2. Finance → Transactions → To Settle — still in escrow, with the expected release date
  3. Shop Health — the settlement period currently applied to your shop
  4. Finance → Withdrawals — balance, requests in flight, failures
  5. Your bank — 1–3 business days after the request

A withdrawal that is failing rather than merely slow has a different set of causes: see why a marketplace payout fails or is held.
