SEA Profit Calculator ("we", "this site") is an informational tool for cross-border sellers on Shopee Malaysia and TikTok Shop Malaysia. This page explains what data is and is not processed when you use it.

The short version

No account, no sign-up, no contact form. We do not ask you for personal information to use the calculator.
Your calculator inputs (cost, weight, selling price) are processed in your browser and are never sent to us.
The only thing that leaves your browser is the keyword you type into the live price benchmark, which is used to query marketplace listings (see below).
We show ads through Google AdSense, which uses cookies as described in this policy.

What is processed when you use the site

Calculator inputs — local only. Cost, weight, selling price, shipping preset and tax mode are computed in your browser. They are not transmitted to or stored by us.

Live price benchmark. If you use the market price lookup, the product keyword you type and the region code (MY) are sent to our server endpoint, which forwards the query to the marketplace's public product search and returns an aggregated summary (minimum, 25th percentile, median, 75th percentile, maximum and sample size). We do not store the keyword or results; the response is generated on request and cached only for a short time to reduce load on the upstream service.

Server and CDN logs. The site is served through Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare's edge may process technical request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp — for delivery, security and abuse prevention. We do not use this data to identify individuals.

Analytics. We do not currently run a third-party analytics product on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.

Cookies and advertising

This site displays advertising through Google AdSense.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads).
You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/.

Where required by law, a consent message is shown before personalised advertising cookies are set; you can change your choice at any time through that message.

We do not control third-party cookies, and third-party vendors and ad networks operate under their own privacy policies.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
We do not build user profiles ourselves.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention

We do not maintain a database of visitors. Aggregated, non-identifying request counts may be retained by our hosting provider for operational and security purposes under their own retention policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, and to object to certain processing. Because we do not hold personal information about visitors, such requests generally concern the third-party services described above; we will still help where we can. Write to us and we will respond.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Because we do not collect personal data, there is no account database to breach. Any data sent to our endpoint is limited to what is described above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially — for example if we introduce analytics or an email newsletter — we will update the date at the top of this page and describe what changed.
