Seller Tools & Services — Sourcing, Payments, Software

Seller tools & services

A deliberately short list of services that come up again and again when you sell on Shopee Malaysia or TikTok Shop Malaysia — sourcing, the software you end up needing, and where to learn the platform rules properly.

Affiliate disclosure. Links carrying a button below are affiliate links: if you sign up or buy through them, this site may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you, you pay the same price. We list only services relevant to sellers in this market. A listing is not an endorsement of a provider's pricing or terms, and nothing here replaces reading their own conditions before you commit money.

Sourcing and stock

Bulk orders

Alibaba alibaba.com

For when you have moved past test quantities.

Factory-direct pricing, but MOQ and lead times vary wildly by supplier — treat the quoted unit price as a starting point for negotiation, not a landed cost. Add first-mile freight and the LVG tax before you price anything: the China → Malaysia shipping breakdown has those numbers, the calculator turns them into a per-order figure.

Test quantities

AliExpress aliexpress.com

For validating a product before you commit to bulk.

Small quantities and dropship-style buying. The unit economics are usually far worse than Alibaba, so treat it as a testing channel rather than a margin channel — the point is finding out whether the product sells before your money is stuck in stock.

China sourcing

Taobao (international) taobao.com

For sellers already comfortable buying on Chinese platforms.

The source most China-based sellers know best. Malaysia delivery needs a forwarder on top, so budget the forwarding leg separately — it is a real cost line, not a rounding error, and it is the one most often left out of a price.

Selling on TikTok Shop

TikTok sellers

TikTok for Business getstarted.tiktok.com

For anyone selling or advertising on TikTok.

The entry point for the platform's seller and ads tools. Worth reading before you assume TikTok Shop behaves like Shopee — its commission is quoted SST-inclusive, so a headline percentage is not comparable to Shopee's. The TikTok Shop Malaysia fee guide works through that difference.

Running the business

Bookkeeping

WPS Office wps.com

For reconciling orders and invoices without buying accounting software.

What a lot of sellers actually reconcile in. The practical need is a spreadsheet that survives a month of order exports — see reconciling a TikTok Shop settlement report for the workflow it supports.

Own storefront

Wegic AI wegic.ai

For sellers who want a shop outside the marketplaces.

Be clear-eyed about the trade: you lose the platform's traffic and gain control of pricing and customer data — but you take on payment, shipping and returns yourself. What receiving money requires in Malaysia is the part most people underestimate.

Learning

SkillUp skillup.global

For structured training instead of scattered videos.

Online courses aimed at Southeast Asian learners. Check the syllabus and the language before paying — course quality varies a lot by track, and none of it substitutes for reading your own Seller Centre.

What is not on this list

No logistics provider, no order-management or ERP tool, and no payment gateway beyond what is above. That is not an oversight — the affiliate networks available to this site do not currently carry Malaysian logistics or seller-SaaS programmes. If you are choosing a courier or an ERP, choose it on service and cost, not on a link from here. For the shipping-cost side, the Shopee shipping fee guide is the closest thing we have.
