Shopee MY Commission Rates by Category (Full 2026 Table)

Shopee Malaysia's commission rate depends on your category, on whether you sell as Marketplace or Mall, and on whether you are an SCP seller. This page lists all the categories in Shopee's current table (effective 14 August 2026) in one place, so you can find your rate without digging through images.

Read the columns before the numbers. Shopee publishes four commission tiers per category:

• Marketplace – SCP — non-Mall sellers enrolled in the Shopee Cashback Programme (lower rate, but a separate SCP service fee applies)
• Marketplace – non-SCP — non-Mall sellers not in the programme (the standard rate most sellers pay)
• Mall – SCP and Mall – non-SCP — Shopee Mall sellers

All rates below exclude 8% SST. To get the rate you actually pay, multiply by 1.08. A 14.00% Marketplace non-SCP rate becomes an effective 15.12%.

† Footnotes:

• Cameras & Drones — the Mall-SCP figure was read as either 7.50% or 1.90% from the source image; 1.90% is likely an OCR misread, and 7.50% is used here by comparison with Mobile Phones. Confirm in your Seller Centre.
• Books — a "Books & Magazines" summary line separately shows 12.50% for Mall-SCP. Treat the exact Book rate as version-dependent.
• Essential Goods — this 0% band covers KPDN-listed staples (rice, flour, sugar, oil, eggs, fresh meat, seafood and similar).

Important caveat: Shopee's official commission table is published as an image, not as text. These figures were extracted by reading that image, and individual rows can be misread. The table above covers the main categories; Shopee's live table has a much longer subcategory list. For the rate you are actually billed, check the commission line on a real invoice in your Seller Centre.

How the tiers work in practice

SCP vs non-SCP is the biggest swing. Enrolling in the Shopee Cashback Programme moves your commission down by roughly 4–5 percentage points across most categories — but it is not free exposure. SCP sellers pay a separate service fee of 5.5% on normal days or 7.5% on campaign days (cap RM100 per item), plus 8% SST. Whether SCP nets out cheaper depends on your margin and how campaign-driven your traffic is.

Mall vs Marketplace matters most for non-SCP sellers, where the rates are usually the same. For SCP sellers, Mall rates are often higher than Marketplace rates — because Mall sellers on SCP get a smaller discount relative to their standard rate.

New-seller waiver

A brand-new seller (unique seller ID, no prior shop) pays no Marketplace commission until the earlier of 120 days after first listing or 200 completed orders — rule effective 2026-08-01. This applies on top of the category rates above: during the waiver your effective commission is 0%, regardless of category.

Reference: minimum and maximum rates

• Marketplace SCP: 0% – 12%
• Marketplace non-SCP: 0% – 17%
• Mall SCP: 0% – 15%
• Mall non-SCP: 0% – 17%

The floor is the essential-goods band; the ceiling is the Health/Personal Care and Fashion-investment/precious-metals categories.

Why the rates vary so much

The spread across this table — from 0% to 17% on the Marketplace non-SCP column — follows a fairly consistent logic:

• Electronics sit lowest. Mobile Phones, cameras, laptops and computer components cluster around 11%–12% non-SCP. These are high-ticket, low-margin, price-transparent goods where sellers compare platforms closely, so Shopee keeps commission low to hold the category.
• Fashion and accessories sit in the middle. Clothing, bags and shoes land at 14%–15% non-SCP — high volume, high margin, and the categories where Shopee's search traffic is strongest.
• Health, personal care and supplements sit at the top. Health – Personal Care / Food Supplement is 17% non-SCP, the table's ceiling alongside precious metals. These categories combine strong repeat purchase with high margins, and Shopee prices commission accordingly.
• Staples sit at zero. Essential foods are exempt so the platform stays competitive on daily-needs shopping.

The practical takeaway: a category move of one tier is often worth more than weeks of negotiating on price. If a product sits at the edge of two categories, checking which one Shopee assigns it to — and confirming that against your invoice — is one of the highest-leverage checks a seller can make.

What to check before you rely on this table

• Your exact subcategory. Shopee's longer list splits several of the merged rows above.
• Whether you are on SCP or Mall. These change which column applies.
• SST. Every rate here excludes 8%; add it for your true cost.
• The invoice. The commission line on a real order is the ground truth.
